Children visiting Peckover House this Halloween and half term will be helping Griselda the Witch to sort out her spell-casting disasters and hunting for Scary Bugs.

Whether dressed as witches, phantoms or just as themselves, children are invited to join the Halloween Trail at the National Trust’s Peckover House, which is set out in the two acre garden.

“Children always have a lot of fun, running around the garden to search for clues,” said events coordinator Diane Smith, “and this year the Trail will involve hunting for the scary bugs which Griselda the Witch has made by mistake. The house and gardens are open all week too, because it is half-term.”

The Trail, costing £1.50 per child, plus normal admission, will take place from Monday October 27 to Sunday November 2, noon to 4pm. For further information contact 01945-583463.
