POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash near Newmarket.
A Honda Civic crashed into a tree after leaving the A1304 at Newmarket, at the junction with the A11 northbound, at about 2.10am yesterday (Sunday).
Police and the fire service attended however the driver, a man, who has not yet been formally identified, died at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
Police are investigating and would like to hear from anyone who saw the crash or the vehicle just prior to it.
Anyone with information should contact the roads policing unit on 101.
