Woman, 38, suffers suspected broken jaw in attack at Chatteris social club

A 38-YEAR-OLD woman suffered a suspected broken jaw when she was attacked by a group of men at Chatteris Working Men’s Club.

The woman needed hospital treatment after the attack, which took place between 11pm and midnight on Saturday (December 10).

The victim was set upon by a group of men, who repeatedly kicked her after an argument. The offenders also attacked a man who had come to her aid.

The pair eventually managed to run away from their attackers and were taken to hospital.

Detective Constable Ahmed Ishaq, investigating, said: “This was a nasty attack in which a woman sustained serious injuries.

“We know there were a lot of people present at the club who would have witnessed what happened. I would urge them to contact police so we can build up a clear picture of what happened and bring those responsible to justice.”
