POLICE have formally charged a 30 year-old woman with murdering three men whose bodies were found dumped in ditches across the county.
The Crown Prosecution Service announced they had advised Cambridgeshire police that there was sufficient evidence to charge Joanna Deheny with all three murders.
She is to appear in court shortly.
Two of her alleged victims – Lukasz Slaboszewksi, 31, and John Chapman, 56, were found at Thorney Dyke near Whittlesey. It was later revealed that Mr Slaboszewski had been stabbed through the heart. Mr Chapman also died of stab wounds.
The third man to die was Kevin Lee, 48, whose body was found in a ditch at Newborough. All three men are alleged to have been murdered on different dates in March.
Others charged in connection with the murders include Leslie Layton, 36, of Orton Goldhay, who is accused of perverting the course of justice.
And another man, Robert Moore, 55, of Peterborough, has been charged with assisting an offender.
