A woman died this morning after her car left the road and went into a water-filled ditch at Sixteen Foot Bank on the B1098 near Chatteris.
The incident happened just before 9am and the road was closed between Boots Bridge and Chatteris at 10am. It was re-opened several hours later.
Police officers worked with teams from Magpas, Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service, Bedfordshire Cambridgeshire & Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit and the East of England Ambulance Service.
