A WOMAN fractured her right collar bone after falling from a horse in Benwick this morning.
A land ambulance, rapid response vehicle and the East Anglian Air Ambulance attended the incident which happened in a field around a mile from Whittlesey Road at about 10.30am.
A ambulance service spokesman said the woman, in her 30s, suffered “neck, shoulder and head injuries” as a result of the fall but was conscious and breathing when paramedics arrived.
The woman was given pain relief at the scene before being airlifted to the land ambulance - which had troubles accessing the field.
She was then driven to Hinchingbrooke Hospital in a condition described as “not too serious”.
