A woman in her 50s was seriously injured and airlifted to hospital yesterday morning after being involved in a collision with a car in Creek Road, March.

A Magpas air ambulance crew was called to the scene to treat the woman, who had sustained a serious leg injury, at around 10.34am.

Magpas doctor Scott Knapp and paramedic Dan Read sedated her at the scene before airlifting her to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. She was in a serious but stable condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team and patient were pilot Craig Redman and crew member Lee Kennedy.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew, Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service and Cambridgeshire Police also attended the incident.
