Woman left ‘shaken’ after attempted handbag snatch in Whittlesey

A woman in her 50s was left shaken after a man attempted to steal her handbag in Whittlesey.

A woman in her 50s was left shaken after a man attempted to steal her handbag in Whittlesey.

The incident happened at about 7am yesterday (February 22) in an alleyway between Heron Close and Swan Close.

“The man is described as white and about 5’4” wearing a grey hooded top, black jeans and trainers. He was said to be of scruffy appearance,” said a police spokesman.

“The victim, who is in her 50s, was unharmed but shaken.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 and quote incident 63 of February 22.
