A woman was left with serious injuries after she was hit by a car in the car park of a March supermarket.

The woman was rushed to Hinchingbrooke Hospital after she was hit by a black Chevrolet Aveo in the Tesco car park on Hostmoor Avenue at around 11.30am today (Wednesday 19).

Police officers are also searching for a man who they believe tried to prevent the woman from being hit.

PC Phil Richardson said: “We are particularly keen to speak to a man who we believe tried to help by attempting to move the woman away from the moving vehicle.”

“Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
