AIR ambulance paramedics were called to help a woman in her 40s who had suffered a cardiac arrest.
The Magpas Helimedix team anaesthetised the patient and provided her with Accident and Emergency level care after arriving in Whittlesey at 3.15pm.
“They then accompanied her to Peterborough City Hospital in a land ambulance, monitoring her condition all the way,” a Magpas spokesman said.
However she was in a critical condition when she arrived at hospital.
