AT the April WI meeting in Jubilee Hall Margaret Sparrow gave a demonstration on box making, simple boxes made from wrapping paper and then stitched. After the demonstration members made boxes of their own. Joan Thompson reported on the WI council meeting. Points awarded in the competition for an Easter card were: Five, Gwen Jones; four, Joan Thompson and April Dobson; three, Jessie Morton and Nanette Rose. The next meeting will be on May 1 when resolutions for June's national annual meeting in London will be voted on. The competition will be for four savoury scones.
