SEVERAL WI members attended the autumn council meeting at the Sir Harry Smith Community College, Whittlesey. Delegated were welcomed by Federation chairman Denise Hall. The Federation budget was presented by Judith Cornwell. Various reports on federation activities were also given. The 10-week draw, organised by Betty Stone, took place as did the presentation of cups for competitions held during the year. The morning speaker was Nick Ball from Fenland District Council whose subject was the importance of re-cycling. He was thanked by Mrs R Green. Afternoon speaker was Steve Brookes on gardening. He was thanked by Mrs P Canham.
