WOODEN roof trusses have been put in place at St Mary’s in March as the incredible renovation of the 130-year-old church continues to accelerate.
St Mary’s entered the latest stage in its remarkable rise from the ashes this week - just over a year after fire swept through the church, in Westry.
The principal king post trusses arrived this week and contractors E Bowman & Son Ltd have started installing them - offering a glimpse of the new chancel arch.
The trusses are being put in place using the same techniques employed by the original craftsmen who built the church 138 years ago.
