Motorists came down to the firefighters’ car wash at the weekend to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.
The car washes, held at Whittlesey Fire Station, Cemetary Road and Chatteris Fire Station, Station Street, saw crews and volunteers give up their time for the cause.
Martin Ockenden, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service charity representative, said: “Our car washes are always well supported and it is always brilliant to see the community support our efforts to raise cash for this cause.
“We’ve previously cleaned everything from vans and ambulances, to bikes and minis, so we can’t wait to see what turns up at the car washes this month.”
The money raised will go towards providing support, rehabilitation and care for fire service personnel across the country.
