Kevin Curzon’s application to West Norfolk Council to create a bigger café at the Worzals farm shop he opened in Autumn 2011 at Lynn Road, Wisbech, was approved yesterday.

The £100,000 extension will enable him to operate the café during the day, transforming it at night to Aunt Eileen’s restaurant.

The extension has been designed with its own entrance so at night time, once the farm shop has closed, it can function as a restaurant.

Mr Curzon intends to take advantage of the closure of The Little Chef opposite Worzals to expand his business and potentially create more jobs.

Currently Worzals employs 20 full-time staff but Mr Curzon believes this number could double as catering, kitchen and bar staff is recruited.

The current café has attracted positive reviews from customers.
