Whittlesey firefighter Aaron Dunmore has been presented with over £700 for The Fire Fighters Charity for his participation in a 'Human Hound Challenge' at Peterborough Greyhounds Stadium.
As part of the challenge, Aaron donned a dog costume and competed against others in a race around the track. Aaron won heat one , came second in heat two, and came an impressive second in the final which took place in October.
As part of his challenge, Aaron gave a speech about the work of The Fire Fighters Charity to the staff and customers and encouraged people to bet on him.
As a result of the betting, Peterborough Greyhounds kindly donated a percentage of the total winnings to each dog’s chosen charity.
Aaron chose The Fire Fighters Charity , which supports the everyday heroes of the UK fire community.
A Cambs fire and rescue spokesman said: “We think Aaron deserves a round of a-paws for his efforts!”
