Young March rapper Ben McCarthy ready to showcase his music at the 02 Academy
A teenage rapper and producer from March will take to the stage at the prestigious 02 Academy next month.
Ben McCarthy, 19, whose music is a mix of hip-hop and dance, says it will be one of his biggest gigs to date.
Ben said: “I’ve been performing since I was nine. I started in the performing arts and acting. Then I slowly started to get into music and producing my own stuff.
“This will definitely be one of the biggest shows I’ve done.”
Ben, who is inspired by rappers Devlin and Plan B, has already built up an impressive fanbase - he has more than 11,000 Twitter followers.
But he says what drives him is the chance to showcase his musical ideas.
He said: “I would just like to showcase my music and ideas - that’s my ambition.”
