A bus shelter has been given a new lease of life thanks to young people in Chatteris.
The First World War inspired mural on the shelter was created thanks to the hard work of 10 young people from the Royal British Legion youth division.
Youth officer Leah Templeman said the Chatteris in Bloom team contacted her to ask if any of RBL youth members would like to get involved and a team got to work in the evenings over a period of two weeks at the East Park Street shelter
Paint was donated from the Street Pride team.
Ms Templeman said: βIt took about 16 hours with 10 young people aged 12 to 17 and four adults.β
The RBL youth division is a fairly new group to Chatteris and meets on the third and fourth Thursday of the month at 7pm at Chatteris Town football club.
They enjoy a wide range of activities from DVD evenings to swimming to museum visits to helping out in the community.
New members are welcome. For more information check out their Facebook page Chatteris Royal British Legion Youth Members.
