Young people take to the stage in style for talent contest

Ten entries made it to the finals of March Has Talent contest which attracted a range of skills and ages from youngsters across the Fens.

Young people aged seven to 21 took part in the annual popular contest which was run in conjunction with Young People March, 20Twenty productions and Circle Housing Roddons.

Held at YPM the four judges were Wendy Coles community & project officer from Circle Housing Roddons, Linda Fairbrother the Cambridgeshire High Sheriff, Misty Jones a local musician, singer and song writer and Penny Hicks local business woman and volunteer at Young People March.

Winner was 16 year old drummer Luke Green from March who impressed the judges and the audience with his outstanding performance on the drums.

Runner up was 11 year old singer and guitar player Alvie Griffin from Chatteris and in third place was 10 year old Ciaran Brown from March who demonstrated his skills as a speed cup stacker.

The project was sponsored by Circle Housing Roddons who put up the prize money of £100 for the winner, £50 second place and third place £25.

All other acts were presented with a tin of sweets.

The project was hailed a massive success by everybody involved.
