Young volunteer Leah who devotes herself to March community wins award

A volunteer who tirelessly serves her community has been recognised for her efforts with the March Lions Young Volunteer of the Year award.

Leah Tyrell was nominated for the award, which was set up by the Lions in memory of late club member Mary Buckley, by Young People March.

Lion John Potter presented Leah with the award and a cash prize of £50.

Lion president Ruth Martin said: “It is amazing to see the young people of today striding to make the community a better place for everyone.”
