SEVENTY pupils from St Peter’s Primary School got the chance to visit Wisbech Salvation Army as part of an educational trip.

Youngsters at the Trafford Road school in Wisbech learnt about the group’s work across the world through interactive games and activities. The event - part of the ‘Ultimate Church Visit’ series - is a section of the Salvation Army’s investment into the lives of the younger members of its community.

Clare Kinsey, 23, a qualified youth worker and part of Wisbech Salvation Army, is spearheading the initiative. A popular parents and toddlers’ group is just one segment of the church’s growing portfolio of dedicated activities to youngsters in the community.

Ms Kinsey said: “We feel positive about this and we are really excited to be making good connections into a primary school.

“We trust that we have planted a seed in the minds of the children, the school and the wider community that we are here to serve them.”
