Wildlife lovers are invited to a wetland safari at WWT Welney Wetland Centre on Monday.
Visitors will get to try mammal tracking, where they can find out about the voles, mice and shrews that live at the centre.
There will be the chance to identify moths, dissect owl pellets and go pond dipping to see what creatures make their home beneath the surface.
The centre’s grazing officer will introduce visitors to the cattle and guided walks will be available to find out more about breeding birds.
Emma Brand, events and marketing officer, said: “Wetlands are one of the most important habitats on earth; yet few people are aware of what they are and how much wildlife they support.
“Through our wetland safari events we hope to give our visitors an insight into how we manage these precious habitats and just how exciting they are by helping people get closer to the wildlife.
“Wetlands are not only important for wildlife and plants but also for us humans. They provide us with lots of benefits from storing carbon and freshwater to improving our wellbeing when we are outside, enjoying them.”
Staff at the centre will post updates of the safari findings on the WWT Welney Facebook and Twitter pages and will encourage visitors to do the same.
