‘YOUTH in a million’ Ollie Hutton has been named as the first monthly winner in the Kids Are Alright Challenge 2011.
The 17-year-old from Wisbech, who suffers from Spina Bifida, has recently had his first piece of art exhibited at the University of East Anglia.
He has suffered from the disease since birth and, despite countless operations, has passed his GCSEs and is now studying for a BTEC in Art and Design.
As our first winner Ollie will receive a trophy as well as 50 in high street shopping vouchers. He will also be in with a chance of becoming the overall winner at our grand final, set to be held in July.
Judges praised Ollie’s determination to succeed in the face of adversity. Beth Moore, who is on the judging panel, said: “He’s managed to succeed at school and college, and excel even further in the art industry despite his condition. It seems to me like he’s never let anything hold him back.”
