YOUNG swimmers from across Fenland were given a chance to display their talent at a new Swim Skills Session. The event, organised by Living Sport, the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Sports Partnership was the first of its kind in the county and held at Wisbech's Hudson Leisure Centre.
Aim of the day was to give children in school Years 3-6 a chance to show their potential to coahces from March Marlins and Chatteris Kingfishers; participants were encouraged to join one of the clubs so they can move onto a competitive level.
Swimming Development officer for Living Sport, Rebeca Gilbertson, said: "The standard was far better than we'd expected. We will now be able to offer the participants a simple pathway into quality local clubs and help to ensure they continue swimming long into the future."
