James Hale-Smith claimed the Ken Doughty player of the year trophy at Tydd St Giles Golf Club at their annual presentation evening.
Hale-Smith was recognised for his success in various competitions and also for a significant reduction of his handicap.
A total of 30 trophies were handed out, with Roger Davey winning the seniors stableford on 39 points, ahead of Peter Wheeler (38) and Frank Young (36).
The Division Two prize went to Andrew Stacey (40), ahead of Tom Jolly (39) and Brian Crilly (36) and the Division Three winner was Roy Pesterfield (40), as John Gamble (38) beat John Elliott to second on countback.
Division Four honours went to Geoff Chappell (39) on countback ahead of Nicholas Thorpe (39) and Malcolm Miller (37), while the women’s October bogey competition was won by Julie Perry (-3), ahead of Sue Racey (-3) and Maria Taylor-Vassall (-7).
