March Town secured an impressive point on the road on Saturday - through an unlikely goal-scoring source.
Hares stopper Dave Beeny notched their only goal as they grabbed a point away at seventh-placed Halstead Town in the Thurlow Nunn Division One.
Beeny gave his side the lead early in the second half when his free kick from inside his own half sailed into the Humbugs’ net.
Halstead, who had only dropped points at home once prior to Saturday’s meeting, then levelled through Cameron Storie.
March, who are now two games unbeaten, will hope for a third when they host Braintree Town Reserves on Saturday (3pm).
