It’s not been a bad start to life in the Kershaw Premier Division for Chatteris Town.
The Lilies kicked off their campaign in style last week with a 3-1 victory over champions Great Shelford and added a second success on Saturday with a 2-1 triumph over Cherry Hinton.
Craig Gillies and Gary Smith found the net at West Street as Ashley Taylor’s men extended their fine run of form, which saw them lift three cups at the end of last season.
Taylor’s in-form stars will look to make it a hat-trick of victories when they take on rivals Outwell Swifts tomorrow evening.
The Swifts are no strangers to the Lilies having pipped them to the Kershaw Senior A Division title last season, but Taylor’s men will fancy their chances against the Norfolk side as they are without a win so far this term.
