March Town’s Toby Nulty surged to his maiden Tucker League ton on Saturday - the first local player to do so for six seasons - as his side hammered Ufford Park by 114 runs at The Avenue.

Nulty hit 103 off 114 balls and shared a superb sixth wicket stand of 159 with Nathan Oliver, who completed his first Saturday half-century with a fine unbeaten 73. That enabled March to recover from 89-5 to post 272-7.

Skipper Tyler Phillips ran in well with 4-25, as the visitors made just 158, and Anthony Palmer and Andy Wright each piced up a brace.

Chatteris’ Peter Munns was also 100 up as his men kept up their chase at the top of the CCA Senior League Division One with a 19-run success over Chippenham.

Munns’ majestic 104 and 56 from Kurt Cunningham helped the Fenland side to 220, and figures of 3-28 from bowler Anthony Bamford ensured that Chippenham would fall just short.

March Town 2nds continue to struggle in the CCA Senior League Division 2, and fell to a seven wicket defeat to Longstanton.

Skipper John Wallis remained undefeated on 40 in the March’s 121-7, with James Harradine adding 30. Despite an early 37-3 blip, the home side knocked the runs off in 24 overs.

In the junior divisions, Chatteris 2nds were also on the end of a defeat, going down by 22 runs to Little Downham.

March Town 3rds, pictured, were outclassed by a much better team when they lost by nine wickets to Terrington in Junior League Division 2N.

March were bowled out for 86, which was an easy target for the team in second spot.

And finally, the title chase in the Junior League Division 3N is hotting up after second-placed Wimblington secured another victory last weekend.

Karl Anderson’s knock of 66 saw Wimblington run out seven wicket winners over Ramsey’s development side.
