March Town continued their unbeaten start to the season when they defeated rivals Huntingdon by five wickets in the Tucker Gardner League Division Two at The Avenue.
Chris Ringham took a wicket with his first delivery for the second successive week and added two more inside his first two overs as Huntingdon were rocked at 11-4.
They then found themselves 71-8 before some lusty hitting at the end saw them make 128 all out.
Wicketkeeper Ben Pyle claimed four catches behind the stumps as Ringham finished with 3-17, skipper Tyler Phillips took 3-33 and Sam Freedman a lively 2-30.
The Aussie all-rounder then underpinned the March innings with a very well measured 75. He was backed by Tommy Howgego’s 35 in the 129-5 reply. The pair put on 45 runs for the third wicket.
Freedman looked more at home on a harder deck and that translated into 11 boundaries, including one six.
March now find themselves joint top after their opening two games.
