MARCH finished their rollercoaster Tucker Gardner Premier Division campaign with a 94-run win over Khalsa.
Chris Ringham’s side had looked to be coasting towards a memorable title but four consecutive losses in their last five games quickly derailed their challenge.
However, March were able to reclaim some ground with Saturday’s win - which owed much to the return of hard-hitting all-rounder Shardul Brahmbhatt.
Brahmbhatt top-scored with 76 and Carl Chapman hit 47 as March posted 247-8 at The Avenue. Australian star Matt Wilcox finished his stint in England with a knock of 17 before he was run out.
Captain Ringham (3-39) sealed a good season with the ball as all of his side’s bowlers found themselves in the wickets. Khalsa limped to 153 all out, leaving March with maximum points and a third-placed finish.
