March Athletics Club members posted new personal best times – and scooped trophies – at the Thorney five-mile road race last Sunday.

First to cross the line for the local club was Billy Bremner in a personal best time of 29 minutes and three seconds – enough to take second place in his age category.

For the ladies, both Toni Alcaraz and Emma Tuck sealed new best times, coming in third in the ladies and first in the Vet 40 category respectively. Geraldine Larham also lifted a trophy – the Vet 45 prize after her time of 34:27.
