IT was a gold rush for 1220 (March) Squadron cadets on Sunday as they grabbed six gold medals in an eight medal haul at the Wing Athletics Championships. Twenty cadets took on 28 other squadrons at the Bedford International Athletics Stadium. It was an all round performance with the medals coming in both track and field.

* Cadet Lauren Arnold ,Gold in High Jump and 400 metres, Bronze in 100 metres

* Corporal Toni Arnold, Bronze in 1500 metres

* Cadet Craig Durrant, Gold in High Jump

* Cadet Alex Ogden, Gold in 1500 metres

* Cadet Andrew West, Gold in 800 metres, Bronze in 400 metres

The combined performance of the junior boys was good enough to earn them runners up in the team award.
