SOME of Fenland s best young tennis players battled for honours in the annual Stella Gardner Tournament, held at the new tennis courts at St Peter s Drive, Chatteris. There were three sections of competition, at beginners, intermediate and advanced levels

SOME of Fenland's best young tennis players battled for honours in the annual Stella Gardner Tournament, held at the new tennis courts at St Peter's Drive, Chatteris.

There were three sections of competition, at beginners, intermediate and advanced levels, as well as an award for the most improved player of the year.

Jack Manning won the beginners' tournament, Julian Austin won the intermediate section and Nat Butcher took the honours in the advanced tournament.

The most improved player of the year award went to Georgia Harrison.
