Benwick Athletic Under-14s clinch league title with ruthless 10-0 victory
BENWICK Athletic Under-14s clinched their Fenland mini-league title with a thumping 10-0 victory over Wisbech St Mary Purples on Saturday.
Alex Cooper (2), Daniel Mason (2), Adam Hudson (2) and Charlie Cross all found the net while Ciaron Sharpe fired home a fantastic hat-trick.
The young stars’ triumph could turn into a double success, with a cup final appearance scheduled for next month.
Captain Jacob Young thanked the players and manager Andy Woodard for their hard work and dedication. He said: “I’m sure all the boys are as proud as me to be part of this team.”
