THE Isle of Ely Federation of Women's Institute Leisure and Sports sub-committee held its annual carpet bowls tournament, on Sunday, in Friday Bridge Community Centre.
Teams from Friday Bridge, Elm, Tydd St Giles and Sutton enjoyed a round robin game. Friday Bridge (1) won the shield and joint runners-up were Friday Bridge (2) and Sutton (1).
The shield and miniature trophies were presented by leisure and sports chairman Barbara Smart, who thanked everyone for taking part and all who had helped with the event.
The winning Friday Bridge members were Audrey Smith, Joyce King, Hazel Healy and Joan Donehy.

It was unanimously agreed to play in pairs next year.
