Catching, coaching and bouncy castles: Wisbech Cricket Club gear up for fun day
BOUNCY castles, barbecues and bungee runs will line the boundary at Harecroft Road for Wisbech Cricket Club’s signing-on fun day next week.
The club will host the action-packed afternoon next Sunday, when junior and senior cricketers can register for another season.
There will be a host of activities, including inflatable slides and games, cricket coaching taster sessions and catching competitions.
On the pitch, Wisbech’s first team will take on Newborough in a friendly and an inter-club Twenty20 match will take place.
Youth Development Officer Dom Stannard said: “It’s a good chance for the juniors to meet the coaches and have a look around the club.

“We are also making a change to the junior section this season - our under 15s and 16s sides will join a Player Development Programme, which I am currently setting up.”
Wisbech run seven youth teams, from under-9s to under-16s. Signing-on fees are �30 for juniors and �50 for seniors.
