CHATTERIS St Peter Tennis Club’s mixed A-team clinched promotion to the Hunts and Peterborough League second division after a memorable unbeaten season.
The club romped to division three glory with the first pair of Alison Edge and Simon Grainger losing just one set in all of their match. Barbara Spilka, Shona Kent, Andrew Fox and Dan Simpson all helped the team’s second pair win enough games to secure help secure promotion.
Unfortunately, the club’s B-team were relegated from division four despite the best efforts of Lindsey Harrison, Barbara Spilka, Barbara Nicholas, Angela Whitehead, Emma Norman, Nathan Cooper, Laurie Finch, Anthony Finch, Barry Jaycock and Dan Simpson.
