A NEW girls youth netball team from Chatteris are looking forward to starting their Cambridge County Under-14s League season on September 26.
Chatteris Foxes finished fourth out of seven teams in the Wisbech Youth Summer League and continue to improve.
Head coach Lucy Peyton entered the team in a tournament in Wisbech on September 12 and despite finishing last was impressed with the spirit and work-rate of the team which keeps getting better.
The girls train each Sunday and are learning quickly. They’ve worked on fitness, ball skills, rules and regulations, plus tactics and techniques.
The girls are keen to learn and looking forward to the season ahead which begins in Milton, Cambridge.
