Andy Lodge has stepped down as manager of Coates Athletic after a successful two years at the helm.
Last season, Coates Athletic finished second in the Peterborough and District League and clinched the PFA Senior Cup in a dramatic penalty shoot-out at Peterborough United’s stadium.
The board have moved swiftly to announce his replacement - player Liam Harrold steps into the hotseat.
Lodge says, having set up a business, he no longer has the time to dedicate himself to the job.
He said: “It’s been a good two years, now is the time to move on. I’ve set up a business this year, which is going well, and I have a six year old girl.
“I’m not moving to another club - I just don’t have the time to dedicate to the role anymore.
“The club is a success story. Whoever replaces me will have a good squad to work with and I expect they’ll do well.”
