MARCH captain Chris Ringham’s second six-wicket haul in three weeks helped table-topping March thrash Khalsa to claim their seventh consecutive league victory.

Saturday’s six-wicket win leaves them 14 points clear at the top of the Tucker Gardner Premier Division.

In-form Ringham (6-61) and Matt Wilcox (3-25) blew the Khalsa batting line-up away for just 110. Carl Chapman scored a classy 65 as March reached the target with ease.

The first team sealed a triumphant weekend with a 130-run win over Medbourne on Sunday.

Teenage batsman David Hodson was the star, smashing a career best 117 not out with good support from Wilcox (43). Vice-captain Stuart Mills took 3-36 as the visitors were shot out for 121 in reply.

• HODSON started a memorable weekend by helping March II to a 137-run win over Bluntisham with his maiden league half-century.

The wicket-keeper batsman hit 56, with support from Ben Pyle (38) and James Harradine (36). Callum Young and Josh Jackman shared seven wickets as the visitors folded for just 80 all out.

The seconds claimed another vital win on Sunday, beating Wimblington by 92 runs in the Fenland Trophy.

David Haslegrave (64) and Jake Beart (44) helped March to 253-8 before they declared. Wimblington reached 161-5 in reply.

• MARCH III continued their miserable form with a 90-run defeat to Needingworth - leaving them rooted to the bottom of the Cambs Junior 2A table.

James Beresford and Toby Nulty took three wickets each as Needingworth reached a massive 282-6. Jon Kaberry top-scored with 43 as March managed 190 all out in reply.

• CONNOR Cunningham’s majestic 130 helped table-topping Chatteris thrash rivals Somersham by 120 runs.

The opener smashed 15 fours and six sixes in a brutal knock which powered Chatteris to 245 all out. Evergreen seamer Mark Leach (4-38) and young spinner Dom Platt (4-30) combined to bowl Chatteris out for 125 in reply.

Chatteris III were suffered a six-wicket defeat to Fordham III, with two wickets from Jake Kaval the only thing to cheer about.

• DODDINGTON were bowled out for just 82 in a four-wicket defeat to Wisbech II. Three wickets each from Anthony Bamford and Jamie Long couldn’t prevent the home side from reaching the modest target.
