MARCH ladies' second team are out of the Cambs Ladies League Premier Division Cup after a 5-1 defeat to Peterborough III on Saturday.
The home side were 3-0 up at the break, and although Jenny Palmer pulled a goal back in the second half, Peterborough went on to book their place in the next round.
The remaining fixtures of the weekend were friendlies, and March Ladies I skipper Lauren Oakman netted no fewer than five goals in the good 6-3 win against Bury St Edmunds II.
Cara Verlander's strike completed March's fine display and Liz Lambert won the player of the match award.
