Debut success for Fenland girls team
AFC WHITTLESEY under 13 girls’ side have just completed a remarkable debut season winning all of their League games scoring 166 goals and conceding only 11 in the process to take the Girls Under 13 Fenland league title.
Not content with this they completed the double beating Wyberton 4 - 1 in the final of the league cup.
The girls celebrated their great season collecting a hatful of trophies at their recent presentation evening at Childers Club, Whittlesey from sponsors Robert Boon of Boon Bros Transport and Sally Gittens, Terri-Lee Weston of Stevenage Packaging.
The team are currently looking for a goalkeeper and two more outfield players to boost their squad for next season any girls interested in joining and will be in years 8 or 9 next year should contact Andy Powell on 01733 351397 or 07970887785.
