Division Four North WestMarch II 12 March III 2THE second team won the battle of the March teams in emphatic style.Following an even start, the second team were unstoppable and a brace apiece for Charlie Bester and Paul Wing put them in control before Rob Mitchell added a fifth.Ashley Welland pulled a goal back for the third team but Brian Fox scored a spectacular goal to make it 6-1.The seconds continued to play fine hockey after the break and Bester hit two more goals before Wing netted to complete his hat-trick.Mitchell struck a tenth and despite a goal from the thirds' Adam Triggs, Bester hit his 32nd league goal of the season before Wing completed the scoring.Andy Bull was nominated man of the match.Division Seven North WestMarch V 2 Cambridge South III 1MARCH got the better of fourth-placed Cambridge South in an entertaining game on Saturday.Both sides had chances to open the scoring but on 15 minutes, the visitors broke the deadlock with a fine goal.March, sponsored by The New Kashmir Balti House, fought back and played some fine hockey, which was rewarded seven minutes later when Daniel Woods scored his first league goal.March took the lead just before the break when Simon Laws converted Scott Bamford's perfect pass.March continued to play well in the second half and never looked like relinquishing their lead.
