Estover Park Under-14s Girls push table-topping Hungate Rovers close in 4-3 thriller
ESTOVER Park’s Under-14 Girls side pushed table-topping Hungate Rovers all the way in a thrilling 4-3 defeat last weekend.
In a pulsating game, Park matched top of the table Hungate throughout and reacted well after going two goals behind.
A screamer from Zoe Birch made it 2-1 before the break and she added a second after the interval to draw the sides level when she latched onto Alesi Willett’s pass and slotted home.
Hungate seemed to have made the game safe after going 4-2 in front but Fern Patterson made it a tight finish as she drove the ball under the Hungate ‘keeper.
