Jamie, a darts player all his life, said: “I can’t wait for Barnsley. I am using all my spare time to practice. I might even put in a few sessions with PDC No 17 Kevin Painter.
“To play Phil Taylor in the Grand Slam of Darts, after winning the wildcard in Barnsley, would be incredible.”
More than 1,000 players took part in the qualifying tournaments held at 50 Rileys clubs across the country.
Rileys Chief Executive Maurice Kelly said: “Congratulations to Jamie. It’s great news that he will be representing Rileys and Peterborough at the PDC Under-21 World Championships. I’ll be watching with great interest to see how he progresses.”
