FENLAND’S kickboxers returned from the Norfolk Open with a host of trophies.
Under the tutelage of Peterborough BCKA instructors Aaron Godden, Simon Munday and Karl Strange, the fighters demonstrated their immense potential.
Some of the categories had girls fighting in mixed sections competing against boys and beating them.
There were standout performances from Eddy Paddock, who won three titles, Jaden Harris, who picked up two titles and two other podium finishes and Freya Molloy, who secured two titles.
Godden took time out from coaching to become men’s under 80kg points champion.
Andy Whitwell, BCKA senior instructor, said: “This was a good warm-up for the WKC world Championships on October in Italy along with the upcoming FSK competition in Manchester on September 22.
“The fighters are coming on in leaps and bounds - they are eating, drinking and sleeping training and competition.
“It would be great to have some world champions return to the Peterborough clubs. These fighters are the future of my clubs.”
Peterborough BCKA is on the look out for new starters. If you are interested in joining call Andy on 07969 792286, e-mail bcka.wizard@gmail.com or go to www.bcka-peterborough.co.uk
