WISBECH’S Matt Pyatt claimed an outstanding top ten finish at Woodhall Spa on Sunday.

The Fenland Running Club athlete finished sixth out of a total of 1,054 runners in the 10k Roundtable Road Race in 35 minutes four seconds,

Pyatt is enjoying an impressive run of form. He smashed the club’s marathon record, which had stood for 21 years, in Manchester earlier this year.

Five other Fenland Running Club members competed in the race - all claiming top half finishes.

Andrew Plume came 41st (38.35), Martin Jennings was 79th (40.21), Sarah Gauvin, the first Fenland lady to finish, came 162nd (43.07), Adam Chown was 230th (45.25) and Paulina Zub finished 454th (50.49).
