Running The 2014-15 Frostbite Friendly League culminated on Sunday and Fenland Running Club were in amongst the action.

The sixth and final race of the series was held at Hinchingbrooke School, with a windy and very muddy route through Hinchingbrooke Park.

Once again Fenland Running Club suffered from the absence of the faster club members but the sterling efforts of the 10 scoring runners was still enough to claim a creditable 11th place on the day and leapfrog prestigious Cambridge and Coleridge and improve the club’s final position from 13th after five races to 12th overall. Awards for runners of the series went to Tim Chapman, who has consistently finished amongst top scorers in all six races, and Cheryl Chapman, who has not just enjoyed all six races but gave her all in this last race, realising she would be the third scoring lady.
