Twenty nine Fenland Running Club members competed in the second Frostbite Friendly League race at Bushfields Joggers in Peterborough.
Sunday’s foggy weather saw a few of the 538 runners trip on tree roots covered by leaves but strong runs from the FRC scoring men, who all finished within the top 100, gave an overall Team finishing position of eighth on the day and moving Fenland up one place after two races to 8th overall.
Special mention goes to Carol Slater-Garner, Sandra Rhodes, Julia Oram and Sally King who all ran their first Frostbite five mile race after coming to the Beginners Get Into Running Course in Summer this year.
The Frostbite Friendly League is a series of races that run from October until March every year.
