THE Hudson Flyers, the trampolining club that sprang out of a fun taster activity put on by the Hudson Leisure Centre, Wisbech, has taken a regional gymnastics competition by storm.
The Flyers, who are trained at the Hudson, entered their first competition just a month ago and now, in their first novice category competition in Northampton, they have bagged a number of honours.
Competing against 20 clubs totalling 300 competitors in the British Gymnastics East Midlands Trampolining Championships, the talented youngsters astonished judges by winning the team award for U13 Boys.
The Hudson Flyers Girls A team took third place in the U11 Girls group and the B team took fourth place in the U11 Girls.
Trampolining at the Hudson is now very popular and staff encourage children with boundless energy to come along. Anyone who would like to join the Hudson Flyers can come along to the leisure centre on Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays or phone the leisure centre on 01945 584230.
